Lieutenant General Osama Askar, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, met Lieutenant General Jean Bosco Kazora, Chief of Staff of the Rwandan Defense Forces, and his accompanying delegation, during his visit to Egypt, where an official reception ceremony was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the Ministry of Defense.

The meeting dealt with a number of issues of common concern in light of the bilateral military relations. This was followed by the concluding session of the second meeting of the Egyptian-Rwandan Military Cooperation Committee headed by the Chiefs of Staff of both countries. It also dealt with the activities and fields of military cooperation and the transfer of scientific and training expertise between the two sides, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense reported.

The Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces stressed the depth of the cooperation relations between the Egyptian Armed Forces and their counterparts in brotherly and friendly African countries, expressing his aspiration for more cooperation and continuous coordination to achieve the common visions that were reached during the meeting.

For his part, Lieutenant General Jean Bosco Kazura, Chief of Staff of the Rwandan Defense Forces, affirmed the depth of relations between Egypt and Rwanda, praising Egypt’s efforts to support security and peace in all countries of the African continent.

The meeting and the closing session were attended by a number of leaders of the Armed Forces of both countries and the Rwandan Defense Attaché in Cairo.
