Under the patronage and attendance of Qatar’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman bin Hassan Al Thani and in the presence of Chief of Staff of the Qatari Armed Forces HE Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Jassim bin Mohammed Al Mannai, Joaan Bin Jassim (JBJ) Academy for Defense Studies celebrated the graduation of the 6th National Defence Course, the 12th Joint Command and Staff Course, the Graduate Studies Programmes (Master’s and Doctorate), and the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research, on the Academy’s premises.
The participants in the two courses, graduate studies programmes, and the Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research include senior-ranking officers from units of the Qatari Armed Forces, military and security agencies, and senior officials in ministries and institutions of the State, in addition to the participation of a number of officers from friendly countries. The ceremony included honouring the top-performing graduates, alongside a presentation of the key stages of the educational process at the Academy.
The ceremony was attended by a number of Ministers, Ambassadors of friendly countries to Qatar, Military Attaches to Qatar and a number of senior officer leaders and officials in the Qatari Armed Forces, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
The Joaan Bin Jassim Academy for Defense Studies is a premier military and higher educational institution in Qatar, operating under the Ministry of Defence.
Established in 2022 to provide advanced training for military and civilian leaders, the Academy trains senior officials from various Ministries, state institutions, and the Qatar Armed Forces.
The Academy consists of four Colleges, including National Defense College; Command and Staff College; Deanship of Graduate Studies and Scientific Research; and Military Concepts and Doctrine Center
