  1. TigerSwan, a US-based security and safety solutions provider, has expanded its capability to deliver professional services throughout the Middle East with the establishment of TigerSwan International in Riyadh.
  2.     Financially troubled Dubai Aerospace Enterprise (DAE) reduced its aircraft orders with Airbus, according to Airbus’ website.
  3. The United States is considering selling 84 advanced F-15 fighter jets to Saudi Arabia but without long-range weapons systems objected to by Israel, The Wall Street Journal reported.

  6.   Iran's navy took delivery of 4 new mini submarines of the home-produced Ghadir class. The navy already owns 7 submarines of this type which weigh 120 tons and were first launched in 2007.
  7. Lockheed Martin and Raytheon Company announced  that they are partnering to pursue the U.S. Missile Defense Agency's Ground-Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Development and Sustainment Contract.
  8. Gulf Air said it was close to a deal to switch plane orders to narrow-body aircraft as part of its strategy to refocus as a niche regional carrier.
  9. Kuwait appointed Citigroup, Ernst & Young, and an aviation services firm to handle the privatization of the country's national carrier, Kuwait news agency (Kuna) said.
  10. The United States will end its combat mission in Iraq as scheduled on August 31 despite a recent flare-up in violence, President Barack Obama said in a speech earlier this week.
