Under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, a graduation ceremony was held Wednesday for the 33rd specializing batch of Police College and the 15th batch of Women’s Police Institute.
The event was held at the Saad Al-Abdullah Academy for Security Sciences in the presence of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yusuf Saud Al-Sabah.The National Anthem was played at the onset of the ceremony, followed by the recitation of verses of the Holy Quran, AFP reported.
Speaking at the event, Sheikh Fahad Yusuf underlined that the graduation of this galaxy of specializing officers and non-commissioned officers demonstrates the security institution’s commitment to creating qualified national personnel able to work with utter efficiency and preparedness, cementing pillars of security and stability under the wise leadership of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince.
He warned that the ongoing situation requires the highest levels of readiness, discipline and vigilance, calling on new graduates to translate science, knowledge and field skills into tangible reality and to be role models for dedication and responsibility.
The ceremony witnessed the graduation of as many as 189 specializing officers of the Police College from Kuwait, Bahrain and Yemen and 165 officers and non-commissioned officers of the Women’s Police Institute.
In another development, Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah has praised the sacrifices and efforts of firefighters, stressing that their readiness, discipline, and professionalism reflect a high level of competence in carrying out their national duties.
This came in a press statement issued by the Fire Force on Tuesday following an honor ceremony hosted by Boubyan Bank in recognition of Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef and several senior Fire Force leaders for their efforts in safeguarding national security and public safety, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
According to the statement, the recognition took place during a visit by a Boubyan Bank delegation to the General Fire Force headquarters, headed by Vice Chairman and Group Chief Executive Officer Adel Al-Majed.
Al-Majed said the Fire Force’s role reflects a strong spirit of national responsibility and highlights the high efficiency and professionalism of its personnel across various operational sites.
He also commended the swift response and effectiveness of firefighting teams in dealing with a recent limited fire at the bank’s main building, which is under construction. He noted that the blaze was contained and extinguished in record time, demonstrating a high level of coordination and professionalism.
The statement underlined that the honor reflects mutual appreciation between public institutions and the private sector, particularly in recognition of rapid emergency response capabilities and national service readiness.
