Bahrain’s Chief of Public Security Receives US Coast Guard Commander

Lieutenant-General Tariq Al Hassan, Chief of Bahrain’s Public Security, received Tuesday Vice Admiral Nathan Moore, Commander of the US Coast Guard, and the accompanying delegation.

The Deputy Chief of Public Security, the Assistant Chief for Operations and Training Affairs, and the Acting Coast Guard Commander also attended the meeting.

The two sides reviewed areas of cooperation in operations, training, and infrastructure development, and discussed means to enhance technical and practical capabilities to strengthen security and maritime awareness.

The Chief of Public Security underlined the importance of continuing joint work and the exchange of expertise to achieve shared objectives, support maritime security efforts, and promote overall safety, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

For his part, Lieutenant-General Abdullah bin Hassan Al Nuaimi, Minister of Defence Affairs, received Steven C. Bondy, Ambassador of the United States of America to Bahrain.

Lt. General Al Nuaimi highlighted the historical Bahrain-US ties and their development across various domains, particularly in military and defence cooperation.

Last week, the Chief of Public Security also received Colonel Dear Beloved, Military Attaché at the Embassy of the United States of America to the Kingdom of Bahrain.

The two sides discussed issues of mutual interest aimed at strengthening cooperation and coordination.
