Kuwait’s Chief of the General Staff of the Army Lt General Khaled Al-Shuraiaan witnessed the conclusion of Exercise “Nation’s Banner 2,” held at the 35th Armored Brigade (Martyr’s Brigade) with the participation of the Ministry of Interior and the National Guard.

Upon his arrival, Al-Shuraiaan was received by Commander of the Land Forces Brig General Hamad Al-Suwaidi, who briefed him on the exercise’s phases, activities, scenarios and key tasks. The exercise aimed to enhance operational readiness, unify concepts and procedures, and strengthen coordination and cooperation among the participating military and security agencies.

Al-Shuraiaan stressed the importance of joint action and coordination among military and security institutions, noting that such exercises contribute to enhancing readiness and improving the efficiency of responding to various tasks and emergencies.

He also commended the efforts of all participants in preparing for and conducting the exercise, praising their high level of competence, discipline and cooperation, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

He further underscored the importance of continuously developing capabilities and exchanging expertise to achieve the highest levels of integration and effectiveness in carrying out joint duties and tasks.

Kuwait’s National Guard Undersecretary Lt General Hamad Al-Barjas said that the “Nation’s Banner 2” exercise reflects the integration of military and security agencies and contributes to unifying training concepts and plans while strengthening coordination among them.

Al-Barjas made the remarks following his attendance at the second phase of the exercise at the Operations, Security System and Crisis Management Center at the National Guard General Headquarters.

In a press statement issued by the National Guard, Al-Barjas said the exercise provides an opportunity to train National Guard staff officers in managing operations and making timely decisions based on scenarios simulating the challenges and tasks that combat and support units may encounter during emergencies. He praised the efforts of all participants and their role in successfully carrying out the exercise.

The closing ceremony was attended by National Guard Undersecretary Lt General Hamad Al-Barjas, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Army Major General (Pilot) Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Head of the Special Security and Correctional Institutions Sector at the Ministry of Interior Brigadier General Dakhil Al-Dakhil, Director General of the Coast Guard Brig Gen (Navy) Mubarak Ali Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, and a number of senior officers from the participating agencies.
