His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II of Jordan, the Regent, inaugurated the Command & Control Room at the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Centre (KASOTC) on Wednesday.
The Command & Control Room provides state-of-the-art technology that will help enhance KASOTC’s technical and logistical capabilities and develop training operations management to ensure rapid and effective responses during field applications.
The Crown Prince, accompanied by Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti, was briefed on plans to develop training and qualification programs at KASOTC to enhance the capabilities of the Jordan Armed Forces- Arab Army.
The briefing also touched on KASOTC’s plans to expand partnerships with partner countries in order to benefit from the advanced training programs the Center offers, Petra news agency reported.
Furthermore, His Royal Highness toured KASOTC’s facilities and was briefed on its capabilities in special operations and counterterrorism training. The Crown Prince expressed pride in KASOTC’s professionalism and the skills of its personnel.
In another development, Chairman of the Jordanian Joint Chiefs of Staff separately met Wednesday at the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF) General Command with Commander of U.S. Central Command, General Brad Cooper.
The meeting addressed ongoing efforts to ensure regional security, recent developments in the region, and avenues for military cooperation between the two allied countries. They also discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations and enhance mechanisms to support regional peace and stability.
Senior JAF officers, along with the U.S. Ambassador and Military Attaché in Amman, attended the meeting.
