Egyptian Minister of Defense Meets Special Forces Airborne and Rangers

General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, convened a meeting with personnel from the Special Forces airborne and Rangers units.

The session, attended by Chief of Staff Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa and other senior military leaders, is part of the General Command’s strategic initiative to assess the morale, combat readiness, and operational preparedness of its forces, underscoring their critical role in safeguarding Egypt’s national security.

The event began with Major General Abdul Qadir Amara Habib, Commander of the Rangers, affirming the Special Forces’ tireless commitment to maintaining national stability. He highlighted the unwavering support from the General Command, which enables these elite units to perform their duties with exceptional efficiency, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

General Saqr then conveyed the profound appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, for the significant contributions of the Special Forces.

He further emphasized the necessity of maintaining peak combat readiness, enhancing skills through continuous training, and preserving high morale to ensure the Armed Forces remain a formidable shield for the Egyptian people.
