General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with Mr. Guido Crosetto, Minister of Defense of the Republic of Italy, and his accompanying delegation, during their visit to Egypt.

The meeting addressed a number of issues of mutual interest, particularly in the fields of military cooperation and the exchange of expertise between the Armed Forces of both countries.

The meeting was attended by Commanders of the main branches and a number of Senior Officers from both the Egyptian and Italian Armed Forces, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a brief statement.

In another recent development, General Abdel Mageed Saqr met with a number of Armed Forces Commanders and Officers at the headquarters of the Central Military Zone. The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, along with the Commanders of the main branches and several Senior Officers.

The meeting included a presentation by a number of Armed Forces Commanders, addressing the most significant current international and regional challenges and variables, and their impact on Egypt’s national security.

During the meeting, General Abdel Mageed Saqr conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and his pride in the efforts exerted by the men of the Armed Forces in safeguarding the nation's resources.

General Saqr emphasized the importance of maintaining the highest levels of efficiency and combat readiness, as well as upholding the principles and values of Egyptian military traditions, so that the Armed Forces, through the dedication and sacrifices of its members, continues to serve as a unique model of discipline and commitment.

He further stressed that the Armed Forces, with its advanced combat capabilities and modern weaponry, is fully capable of deterring anyone who seeks to undermine Egypt’s security or threaten the resources of its great people. (Source & Photo © Egyptian Ministry of Defense)
