Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces, met with General Michael Kurilla, Commander of the United States Central Command, and his accompanying delegation during their official visit to Egypt.
The meeting addressed a number of issues of mutual interest in light of current regional and international developments, as well as ways to strengthen and enhance military cooperation between the two countries.
Lieutenant General Khalifa expressed his appreciation for the strong and enduring ties between the Egyptian and U.S. Armed Forces, reaffirming the General Command’s commitment to expanding avenues of cooperation across various military domains, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
For his part, General Kurilla commended Egypt’s pivotal role in consolidating security and stability in the region, stressing his country’s keenness to further strengthen bilateral military relations and maintain continuous coordination to serve the shared interests of both sides.
