Italian helicopter firm AgustaWestland signed to create a joint venture with India's Tata Sons to build a final assembly line in India, the Italian firm announced Feb. 16. The deal envisages assembly work being undertaken on the line on AgustaWestland's AW119 helicopter for the worldwide market, with a production rate of 30 a year and the first aircraft potentially ready for delivery in 2011.
