On 3 September 2025, Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa (PGZ S.A.), PGZ Stocznia Wojenna (PGZ S.W) and Naval Group have signed an Industrial Cooperation Agreement (ICA) in the field of naval activities, focusing on advanced manufacturing related to the construction of submarines and other highly specialized vessels.

The ICA signed today is a significant milestone in the strategic relationship between the companies, elevating the scope of cooperation to a higher level and opening the possibility of integrating the Polish defence industry into Naval Group’s supply chain.

By strengthening durable industrial ties in the defence and maritime sectors, this agreement also contributes to deepen the strategic partnership between France and Poland, making it a direct implementation of the Treaty on “Enhanced Cooperation and Friendship” signed in Nancy on 9 May 2025 by the two countries.

Marie-Laure Bourgeois, Naval Group's Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing, said: “We are very honoured to sign this cooperation with PGZ, the main defence industrial group in Poland and a key partner for Naval Group. This agreement illustrates our shared ambition to develop a strong, sovereign and future ready naval industrial base in Poland and to build a long-term industrial cooperation for the benefit of both our countries.”

Jan Grabowski, Vice President of the Management Board of PGZ S.A., said: “Naval Group is a global leader in the production of both surface and submarine vessels, including those requiring top-tier skills. The sanctioned Industrial Partnership between the entities will significantly increase the production capacity of the domestic industry while providing appropriately trained resources and technological potential to carry out production tasks for the French partner. It should be added that cooperation in the maritime domain between our entities is another step expanding the significance of the strategic Partnership between France and Poland.”
