The Police College of Qatar received the first-place award for the security studies branch and the third-place award for the best pioneering security programmes for the Al Gad (future) Police programme at the level of the Arab world, within the competitions of the Prince Naif Award for Arab Security for the year 2023, which was announced previously.
The two awards were presented during a meeting of the Police College delegation with Secretary-General of the Council of Arab Interior Ministers Dr. Mohammad Ali Koman and Secretary-General of the Prince Naif Award for Arab Security at the headquarters of the Awards General Secretariat in Tunis, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
After receiving the award, Vice-President and Director of the Police College Lieutenant-Colonel Fahd Saeed Al Subaie affirmed the Academy’s keenness to encourage and support scientific research and the spirit of innovation and creativity to confront developments in the area of security and legal work and move forward in achieving this.
Naif Arab University for Security Sciences (NAUSS) is an Arab organization with a legal personality and enjoys diplomatic status. It is the academic body of the Arab Interior Ministers Council.
NAUSS offers programs for graduate studies, research, and training in security fields and relevant areas. The University campus is in Riyadh, the capital of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Police College of Qatar was established in virtue of the Emiri Decree No. 2013/161 issued by H.H. Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani, the Emir of Qatar. The decree Stipulated the affiliation of the Police College to the Ministry of Interior and that it shall have its own legal personality, flag and emblem, and a budget annexed to the Ministry’s budget.
