The Police Academy of Qatar, represented by Women’s Police Institute, celebrated last week the graduation of the foundation course for the Women’s Police (9th batch, recruits), which was attended by 151 graduates from Qatar’s Ministry of Interior and the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya).

The graduation ceremony, which was held at the Police Academy in the presence of Legal Advisor to the Minister of Interior and General Supervisor of the Police Academy Major-General Dr. Abdullah Yousef Al Mal, included a military parade by the graduates showing their ability to join police field work and perform field duties with high professionalism and skillfulness.

The top graduates of the foundation course were also honoured, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.

Director of Women’s Police Institute Lieutenant-Colonel Kholoud Anbar Al Nuaimi said over the course of six months, the police graduates gained valuable knowledge and extensive experience that allows them to perform their field duties efficiently within the framework of applying the State’s laws and respecting the principles of human rights.

The graduates had participated in a field programme that included comprehensive training on physical fitness, combat, infantry and weapons military training, as well as an academic programme that included legal, police and administrative subjects. They also took part in securing the 2023 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar.
