Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior of Kuwait Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wuhaib chaired a meeting with Assistant Undersecretaries and Heads of Security Sectors (photo) to review the latest developments in security plans and strengthen coordination among the Ministry’s various departments.
In a statement, the Ministry of Interior said the meeting focused on enhancing security and administrative performance through greater coordination and integration between the Ministry’s security sectors.
Al-Wuhaib stressed that regular meetings among security leaders play a vital role in strengthening communication, promoting cooperation, overcoming operational challenges and unifying efforts to improve overall performance, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
He also conveyed the greetings of First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Saud Al-Sabah, along with his wishes for the participants’ continued success in carrying out their responsibilities.
The Undersecretary emphasized the importance of maintaining close coordination among all sectors and working as a unified team to further develop the ministry’s security system, enhance operational readiness and reinforce national security in line with the public interest.
According to the Ministry, the meeting reviewed progress on the implementation of approved security plans and programs across the various sectors. Participants also discussed preparations for a comprehensive Ministry of Interior strategy and the establishment of an integrated operational framework aimed at improving coordination between departments, strengthening institutional integration and enhancing performance to meet current and future security requirements.
In another development, Undersecretary of Kuwait’s National Guard Lieutenant General Hamad Al-Barjas conducted an inspection visit to a site secured by the 3rd Facilities Protection Battalion of the 1st Protection Brigade to assess operational readiness and review the progress of its duties.
In a statement, the National Guard said Lieutenant General Al-Barjas conveyed the greetings and appreciation of the National Guard leadership to the battalion personnel, praising their vital role in protecting strategic and important sites across the country. During the visit, he commended the high level of readiness, discipline and commitment demonstrated by National Guard members in carrying out their assigned responsibilities and duties.
Meanwhile, the General Directorate of the National Guard announced on Wednesday the opening of applications for a new batch of diploma holders seeking to join the force as non-commissioned officers. In a statement, the Directorate said applicants can obtain further details through the QR code included in the application announcement published on the National Guard’s official account on the X platform.
