Kuwait’s Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Khalid Al-Jarrah (photo) received Vice Admiral Kevin Donegan, Commander of the U.S. Naval Forces Central Command, Combined Maritime Forces and U.S. 5th Fleet.
The Interior Ministry Security Media Directorate said in a press statement that the meeting focused on key issues of mutual interest and ways of strengthening security cooperation.
Meanwhile, Sudan’s President Omar Al-Bashir started on Monday an official visit to Kuwait at the invitation of Kuwait’s Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah.
During the two-day official visit, President Al-Bashir will discuss with Emir Al-Sabah a number of issues of common interest including bilateral cooperation as well as the role of Kuwait in supporting President Al-Bashir’s initiative to achieve Arab food security,” Sudan’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Kamal Ismail said.
