Kuwait’s National Guard Undersecretary Inspects Anti-Drone Measures at Al-Sumoud Camp

Kuwait’s National Guard Undersecretary Lt. General Hamad Al-Barjas on Tuesday inspected Al-Sumoud Camp to review operational procedures and receive a briefing on the latest achievements of specialized technical teams studying ways to counter unmanned aerial vehicles (drones).

According to a National Guard statement, Lt. General Al-Barjas stressed the importance of continuing work in line with modern standards and making use of the latest technologies to keep pace with rapidly evolving developments.

Al-Barjas also inspected the Combat Support Directorate, where he was received by Acting Commander of Military and Security Affairs Brigadier General Abdullah Abdullah, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

Meanwhile, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Meshaal Al-Sabah underscored the importance of attracting and empowering young Kuwaiti talent to support institutional development, reaffirming the Ministry’s commitment to investing in national human capital.

His remarks came during a visit to the Ministry of Defense’s pavilion at the “Choose Your Major Right” exhibition, held at the Kuwait International Fairgrounds.

During the tour, Sheikh Abdullah reviewed the Ministry’s participation, which featured both military and civilian sectors and praised the efforts of the organizing team in showcasing career opportunities available to graduates.

He further commended the broad participation of government and private sector entities, describing it as a reflection of coordinated national efforts to guide and support Kuwaiti youth in making informed academic and career choices.
