Jordanian Army Chief Visits Special Royal Guard Command

Chairman of Jordan’s Joint Chiefs-of-Staff Lt. General Mahmoud Freihat visited on Tuesday the Special Royal Guard Command.

The Army Chief was received by Assistant Chief-of-Staff for Intelligence Brigadier General Nasser Al Muhairat, Commander of the Special Royal Guard Brigadier General Abdullah Khader Al Uthman and a number of senior army officers.

Freihat listened to a military briefing on tasks, duties and programs carried out by the Special Royal Guard and the conduct of operational and training matters, according to Petra news agency.

Lt. General Freihat also toured a number of facilities of the Royal Guard’s special command and expressed his admiration for the command's personnel high level of readiness.

The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs-of-Staff met with a number of officers, and conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the Supreme Commander, affirming his pride in the officers’ distinguished level, efficiency, professionalism and morale.

Meanwhile, His Royal Highness Crown Prince Al Hussein bin Abdullah II separately visited on Tuesday the 101st Special Unit from the Special Forces Group.

During the visit, Crown Prince Al Hussein was briefed on the unit’s armaments and equipment.

His Royal Highness commended the distinguished level of the unit’s personnel, in terms of training and combat readiness.
