General Abdel Mageed Saqr, Commander-in-Chief of the Egyptian Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, met with a number of Border Guard personnel as part of the General Command’s commitment to maintaining continuous communication with its service members and aligning perspectives on key national security issues.

The meeting was attended by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, along with several Senior Commanders.

The event began with remarks by Major General Osama Abdel Hamid Dawood, Commander of the Border Guard Forces, who expressed his appreciation for the continued support provided by the General Command, enabling the force to carry out its assigned missions with efficiency and professionalism. He affirmed that the Border Guard personnel remain in a constant state of vigilance and readiness, dedicated to safeguarding the nation’s borders and preserving the integrity of its territory.

General Abdel Mageed Saqr honored a number of distinguished Border Guard personnel in recognition of their efforts in thwarting multiple infiltration and smuggling attempts and securing the state’s borders across all strategic directions, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

The Commander-in-Chief and Minister of Defense conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the Border Guard personnel. He praised the achievements realized by the force in recent months, underscoring the importance of maintaining the highest levels of competence and combat readiness, enhancing individual skills and physical fitness through continuous training, and upholding strong morale.

He further reaffirmed that the defense of the homeland is a sacred duty that requires constant preparedness to confront emerging challenges, and that the Armed Forces will continue to make every sacrifice necessary to safeguard Egypt’s security and stability.
