The 21st meeting of the Supply and Logistics Committee of the Armed Forces of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries concluded, hosted by the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), with the participation of specialised supply and logistics delegations from the GCC Armed Forces.
The meeting was attended by Major General Salman bin Ebrahim Al Fudhala, Assistant Secretary-General for Military Affairs at the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and a representative of the Unified Military Command.
The meeting discussed the items on its agenda, aimed at coordinating supply and logistics efforts among the GCC Armed Forces, supporting joint Gulf military action and enhancing integration among the various sectors of the GCC Armed Forces.
Meantime, Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, Commander-in-Chief of the Bahrain Defence Force (BDF), met with a number of senior BDF officers on Wednesday, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.
The Commander-in-Chief was briefed on the levels of combat readiness and military preparedness of all BDF branches and units.
Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed affirmed that owing to the continued attention of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the ongoing follow-up of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and Prime Minister, all BDF branches and units are at the highest levels of combat readiness and defensive preparedness, and are equipped with the latest advanced weapons and defence systems.
The Commander-in-Chief added that, with the support of His Majesty the King, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, and the vigilance of its personnel, the BDF will remain prepared to address various threats and risks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Field Marshal Shaikh Khalifa bin Ahmed also commended the national role played by BDF personnel in carrying out their military duties and defence responsibilities, noting that they are a source of pride for the Kingdom and an example of dedication and commitment. He wished them success and steadfastness in carrying out their assigned military duties and defending the Kingdom with determination and resolve.
