Greek Minister of National Defence Inaugurates DEFEA 2025

Greek Minister of National Defence Mr. Nikos Dendias inaugurated Tuesday the International Defence, Security & Technology exhibition DEFEA 2025, in the presence of high-ranking government officials, senior military leadership, and distinguished international delegates.

The opening ceremony brought together top-level representatives from ministries of defence, national security, digital governance, and maritime affairs, highlighting the exhibition’s strategic importance.

High-level participation from multiple countries, including Ministers and Deputy Ministers, underlines DEFEA’s global reach. Chiefs of the Hellenic Armed Forces and senior defence leadership also attended and toured the exhibition.

With 436 exhibitors from 37 countries, 18 national pavilions, and 98 official delegations from 45 nations, DEFEA 2025 affirms its role as a major hub for international defence cooperation and innovation.

DEFEA is constantly increasing its capacity and strength since more than 300 official delegations are invited from 68 countries. Being one of the largest industry gatherings in the region, showcasing the latest advancements and leading technologies in defence and security domains and facilitating important collaborations, live displays and round tables, DEFEA 2025 is aiming to host more than 25.000 professional and trade visitors in total indoor exhibition area of 40,000 m2.

DEFEA 2025 is organized under the auspices and collaboration of the Hellenic Ministry of Defence, the Ministry for Climate Crisis and Civil Protection and the Ministry of Citizen Protection by ROTA S.A. Exhibitions Greece, with the cooperation of SEKPY (Hellenic Manufacturers of Defence Materiel Association).
