A delegation from the Kuwaiti Air Force, led by its Commander Major General Pilot Fahad Al-Khurainj, visited the Royal Jordanian Air Force to discuss ways of enhancing bilateral military cooperation and expanding the exchange of expertise in training and qualification.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army said Major General Pilot Al-Khurainj met with Commander of the Royal Jordanian Air Force Brigadier General Pilot Jihad Al-Batoush to review a number of issues of mutual interest.

The discussions focused on strengthening cooperation between the two air forces, particularly in the areas of training, professional development and the exchange of operational expertise.

The General Staff said the visit reflects the deep-rooted historical and fraternal relations between Kuwait and Jordan, as well as the two countries’ commitment to advancing military cooperation and coordination, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

Meanwhile, HRH Crown Prince Hussein of Jordan attended on Wednesday the conclusion of a joint tactical exercise conducted by elite units from the King Abdullah II Royal Special Forces, and their counterparts from the Turkish, Azerbaijani, and Pakistani Special Forces.

The exercise, which took place at one of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF)’s training centres, aims to strengthen military cooperation between the participating countries, hone the participants’ skills, and consolidate the JAF’s position as a key partner in the regional security framework, according to a Royal Court statement, the Jordan Times reported.

The participants demonstrated a high level of combat proficiency during the two-week exercise, aligning special operations tactics and sharing vital combat experiences, serving to enhance operational integration between the participating forces and boost joint readiness and emergency response.
