His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army, on Monday, visited the Royal Military Police Command, expressing pride in its personnel and its key role in facilitating army units’ duties.
King Abdullah listened to a briefing on the Command’s development and modernization plans and toured an exhibition of equipment and communications devices used by the Command’s personnel, Petra news agency reported.
In another development and following the Royal directives, the Jordanian Armed Forces - Arab Army, late Saturday, joined forces with relevant agencies in Cyprus to combat the devastating fires that erupted in the city of Limassol in the southern part of the country.
The Jordanian Armed Forces swiftly deployed three aircraft, including “Super Puma” and “MI26” from the Royal Air Force, to assist in the firefighting efforts to control and extinguish the raging wildfires that have been affecting Cyprus.
This collaborative effort reflects Jordan's commitment to extending support to friendly nations facing natural disasters.
