Air Chief Marshal Fayyadh Hamed Al Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) arrived to Muscat Sunday on an official visit lasting several days.
The guest and his accompanying delegation were received upon their arrival at A’Seeb Air Base by Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief-of-Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), several senior SAF Officers and the Military Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Muscat, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
On Monday, the Chief-of-Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) of Oman received, in his office at Al Murtafa'a Garrison (photo), the visiting Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The two sides exchanged views and discussed military matters of common concern which was attended by several senior SAF officers and the Military Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Muscat.
For his part, General Sultan Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office also received the visiting Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The two sides reviewed the joint cooperation fields and discussed matters of common interest. The meeting was attended by Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Ra’eesi, Chief-of-Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF).
Meanwhile, HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defense Affairs also welcomed, at his office in Al Murtafa’a Garrison Monday, Air Chief Marshal Fayyadh Hamid Al Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The two sides exchanged cordial conversations and explored points of view. They also discussed issues of common concern. The meeting was attended by Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Ra’eesi, Chief-of-Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), and the guest’s accompanying delegation.
Lastly, Air Chief Marshal Fayyadh Hamed Al Ruwaili, Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) visited the Maritime Security Centre (MSC) at Al Murtafa’a Garrison.
The guest was accompanied by Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF).
Upon the guest’s arrival, he was received by Rear Admiral Saif Nasser Al Rahbi, Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO), Head of the Maritime Security Committee and Commodore Mohammed Hamoud Al Zedjali, Head of the MSC.
The guest toured the Centre’s facilities and viewed its latest equipment and technologies. He was also briefed on the tactical roles and tasks carried out by the Centre within its national duties, as it coordinates with relevant authorities in search and rescue missions and the safety of the maritime environment.
On Tuesday, the guest visited the National Defense College (NDC) in Muscat where he was received by Brigadier Nasser Rashid Al Kalbani, NDC Acting Commandant.
The guest and his accompanying delegation were briefed on the college's facilities and equipment, as well as various departments and halls designed according to the latest specifications and equipped with the best educational systems, training aids and multi-purpose electronic network systems.
The Saudi guest and his accompanying delegation left Oman on Tuesday. They were seen off by the Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), Officers and the Military Attaché at the Saudi Embassy in Muscat.
