Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al Salem Al Sabah, Minister of Defence of the State of Kuwait, visited the Kuwait Armed Forces Supply and Logistics Authority to review workflow and assess logistical readiness.
The Minister received a briefing on the supply situation, the level of logistical preparedness, and the authority's role in supporting the Armed Forces amid current security developments.
The visit included a tour of warehouses and several key facilities within the authority, where Sheikh Abdullah reviewed operational procedures and safety measures in storage facilities, as well as preparations to ensure the continuity of supply and logistical support for the armed forces under various circumstances.
The Minister commended the authority's role in supporting the armed forces and enhancing their readiness, stressing the importance of maintaining preparedness to confront different challenges, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
On Tuesday evening, the Kuwaiti Defence Minister received a phone call from UK Defense Secretary John Healey. The Ministry of Defense said the call addressed recent developments and issues of mutual interest.
Sheikh Abdullah expressed Kuwait’s appreciation for the supportive positions of the United Kingdom. He also praised the strong ties between Kuwait and the UK, affirming the depth of the strategic partnership between the two countries.
Meanwhile, Kuwait Fire Force said Acting Deputy Chief for Civil Protection Brigadier Omar Bouresli conducted an inspection tour Monday of several fire stations and deployment points assigned to secure hospitals to ensure readiness. He reviewed safety and fire-prevention systems and equipment as part of efforts to monitor preparedness to secure vital facilities amid current circumstances.
