In implementation of the directives of the Egyptian political leadership to keep pace with rapid developments across various fields, and within the framework of the Armed Forces’ commitment to supporting and developing the healthcare system, the Egyptian Military Academy, the Medical Services Department, and Ain Shams University, represented by the Faculty of Nursing, signed a cooperation protocol aimed at advancing the scientific and professional standards of medical personnel across various specialties.
The signing ceremony was attended by Major General Mohamed Salah El-Torky, Commandant of the Egyptian Military Academy, Major General Dr. Mohamed Saad Hegazy, Director of the Medical Services Department, and Professor Dr. Amani Osama, Vice President of Ain Shams University, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
The protocol aims to strengthen joint cooperation in support of the medical and healthcare system and to promote integration among state institutions, particularly in the field of nursing, through the preparation of qualified personnel in line with labor market requirements. This will be achieved through the utilization of modern technologies and advanced techniques to keep pace with ongoing developments in the medical field.
The signing ceremony was also attended by a number of commanders and officers from the Egyptian Military Academy, as well as officials from Ain Shams University.
In another development, as part of the Egyptian Armed Forces’ commitment to building a modern healthcare system founded on scientific research in cooperation with various state institutions and entities, the Medical Research and Regenerative Medicine Center signed a cooperation protocol with the Ministry of Health and Population.
The protocol was signed by Major General Dr. Mostafa El-Naqeeb, Director of the Medical Research and Regenerative Medicine Center, and Dr. Mohamed Hassani, Assistant Minister of Health and Population for Public Health Initiatives, in the presence of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Health and Population, and Major General Dr. Mohamed Saad Hegazy, Director of the Medical Services Department.
The protocol aims to strengthen joint cooperation between both sides in implementing presidential programs, projects, and initiatives aimed at developing healthcare services in accordance with the latest scientific and technological standards.
A field tour was also organized within the center to review its state-of-the-art laboratories and medical facilities, which contribute to the development of the healthcare system and support national development projects.
In a related context, the Armed Forces Supply and Provision Authority inaugurated the Pathology Center at the Armed Forces Medical Research Laboratories and Blood Bank, which has been designed in accordance with the latest international medical standards in the field.
The Center plays a vital role in the accurate diagnosis of diseases and represents one of the fundamental pillars in the national oncology diagnostic system through the application of the latest scientific methods in pathology. It also provides advanced training and research services that keep pace with rapid scientific developments in this sector.
The Center has been established in compliance with the international pathology accreditation standards of the American CAP Organization and is equipped with the latest medical devices and technologies, many of which are being introduced for the first time in the Arab Republic of Egypt. It operates through a highly advanced scientific system led by a distinguished team of consultants from the Armed Forces, Egyptian universities, and international experts to ensure precise diagnoses in line with international standards.
In addition, the Center provides diagnostic consultations to medical complexes, hospitals, and oncology treatment centers, particularly for complex cases requiring advanced pathological examination, while also contributing to the development of treatment methods for cancer and chronic diseases.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Major General Mohamed Kamal, Chief of the Armed Forces Supply and Provision Authority, Major General Dr. Mohamed Saad Hegazy, Director of the Medical Services Department, Major General Dr. Amr Ali El-Sherif, Director of the Armed Forces Medical Research Laboratories and Blood Bank, along with a number of Armed Forces Commanders.
