ROKETSAN announced two deals with SAMI and its land systems subsidiary, SAMI Land, for the joint production of cruise missiles and ATGMs, respectively.

The two deals signed during the World Defense Show 2026, held in Riyadh last week, will form a production leg in the Gulf for cruise missiles and anti-tank missiles.

The deal signed with SAMI for cruise missiles consists of joint production, while the one with SAMI Land for ATGMs also includes sales. ROKETSAN did not specify the type of missiles to be produced.

ROKETSAN has built a portfolio for both classes of missiles with the cruise missile group, including SOM, SOM-J, ÇAKIR, and ATMACA family, while the ATGMs range from man-portable to long-range (KARAOK, OMTAS, UMTAS, UMTAS-GM).

Meanwhile, Australia’s Electro Optic Systems (EOS) has signed a strategic partnership agreement with ROKETSAN to collaborate on future opportunities involving integrated defence capabilities in selected markets.

Announced at World Defense Show on 10 February, the agreement establishes a framework for EOS and ROKETSAN to collaborate in responding to customer requirements as they arise.

EOS brings established counter-drone capability spanning kinetic and high energy laser effectors. In 2025, EOS secured the world’s first export contract for a 100 kilowatt-class high energy laser weapon with the Netherlands, marking a significant milestone in the deployment of laser-based counter-drone capability. EOS has also entered into a conditional high energy laser contract with a customer in the Republic of Korea, reflecting growing international demand for high energy laser solutions.

ROKETSAN brings deep experience in defence platforms, systems integration, sensors and command and control, supported by a mature industrial base and strong regional defence relationships. With its experience in defence industry, ROKETSAN also provide robust directed energy solutions against asymmetric threats. The agreement brings these complementary strengths together to support future customer requirements for integrated capability.

The agreement supports collaboration in selected markets jointly identified by both companies, positioning EOS and ROKETSAN to pursue opportunities where integrated counter-drone and force protection solutions are required.

ROKETSAN is a leading Turkish defence company specialising in the design, development and manufacture of missile systems, rockets, launchers and defence technologies.

Established in 1988, ROKETSAN delivers a broad portfolio of capabilities for land, naval and air platforms, supported by strong systems integration, engineering and manufacturing expertise. The company supplies the Turkish Armed Forces and international partners, with a growing export footprint across multiple regions.

ROKETSAN ALKA Directed Energy Weapon System stands out as a next-generation defense solution designed to meet the rapidly evolving demands of modern warfare, delivering high effectiveness against asymmetric threats across a wide mission spectrum.

By integrating precision targeting, AI-enabled vulnerability analysis, and energy-based neutralization, ALKA provides a cost-effective and sustainable response to a broad range of threats - from UAVs, IEDs, and unexploded ordnance to tethered drones and FPV-controlled systems. Its ability to neutralize targets safely at a distance without explosive force minimizes collateral damage, enhances personnel and platform safety, and makes it ideally suited for urban areas, critical infrastructure, and maritime environments.

Featuring a hybrid architecture that combines directed energy and RF jamming, along with an open, modular, and software-defined design, ALKA can rapidly adapt to emerging threats such as drone swarms and low-observable systems while supporting continuous capability growth.
