Morocco took a significant step forward in its aerospace ambitions last week. The government has signed three partnership agreements with major industry players at the 8th edition of Aerospace Casablanca, held in Nouaceur from 30 September to 02 October 2025.
Industry and Trade Minister Ryad Mezzour attended the signing ceremony, which aims to deepen local integration and develop the value chain in this strategic sector, Morrocco World News reported
The three protocols focus on investment projects that will support the supply network for American aerospace giant Collins Aerospace. The deals will introduce new technologies and specialized professions to Morocco’s national aviation industry.
“This marks an important milestone in strengthening the strategic partnership between Morocco and Collins Aerospace,” Mezzour said. He pointed out that the projects will intensify the local supply chain and elevate the country’s position in new specializations with high added value.
The first agreement, signed with Ratier-Figeac Maroc, involves opening a new assembly line for cockpit equipment at the company’s Nouaceur site. The project will bring modern technologies and skills while creating local jobs.
The second protocol partners with Nicomatic to establish an industrial unit in Casablanca that will produce illuminated front panels for aircraft cockpits. This strategic project reinforces Morocco’s position as an advanced manufacturing platform in aviation.
Founded in Casablanca 2022, Nicomatec Africa operates as a subsidiary of the French group that leads globally in electrical connector solutions for harsh environments.
The third agreement with Redstart Aero covers the expansion of the company’s current production site to create a specialized unit for manufacturing precision aerospace parts.
The partnership will equip Morocco with advanced expertise in precision engineering and boost qualified employment opportunities.
Said Benhajjou, President of the Moroccan Grouping of Aerospace Industries (GIMAS), described the Aerospace meeting as “a celebration of our industrial ecosystem.”
Meanwhile, Ali Seddiki, director general of the Moroccan Agency for Investment and Export Development, pointed to the sector’s success as proof of Morocco’s high-quality human capital and effective local governance.
He confirmed that the investment flow will support employment, with women comprising nearly 40% of the sector’s workforce.
The Aerospace Casablanca event serves as a vital platform connecting manufacturers, suppliers, and various players in the aerospace supply chain while strengthening both local and international industrial partnerships.
