Commanders of Royal Saudi Air Force and Qatar’s Military Police Forces Visit Oman

Air Vice Marshal Khamis bin Hammad Al Ghafri, Commander of the Royal Air Force of Oman (RAFO), received Tuesday at his office in Al Murtafa’a Camp, Lt. General Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force (photo), and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on several military topics of mutual interest, Oman News Agency (ONA) said in a brief statement.

The meeting was attended by a number of Senior Officers from the Royal Air Force of Oman.

For his part, Major General Mattar Salim Al Balushi, Commander of the Royal Army of Oman (RAO), also received Tuesday at his office in Al Murtafa’a Camp, Major General Rashid Mohammed Al Hajri, Commander of the Military Police Forces of the State of Qatar, and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views and discussed several topics of mutual interest. They also explored various areas of military cooperation between the two countries.

The meeting was attended by Brigadier Abdulkadhim Ibrahim Al Ajmi, RAO Director General of Administration and Human Resources and Brigadier Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, RAO Director General of Supplies and Housing. It was also attended by the Military Attaché at the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Muscat.

In another development, Oman’s Medical City for Military and Security Services marked its second Annual Scientific Research Day. Held under the theme “Empowering Minds... Enriching the Future,” the event was conducted under the patronage of Brigadier (Doctor) Saqr bin Zayed Al Busaidi, Assistant Head of the Medical City for Military and Security Services for Medical Affairs.

The ceremony, held Tuesday at the Military and Security Services Pension Fund, commenced with a visual presentation titled “Towards Research Leadership: From Vision to Achievement.” The presentation highlighted key scientific research in medical studies. Following this, the Commandant of the Medical City School for Military and Security Services delivered an address emphasizing the vital role of scientific research in advancing public health.

The event featured scientific and panel discussion sessions covering a range of medical fields and specializations. A specialized exhibition in medicine and scientific research was also organized, showcasing a selection of scientific studies and medical research projects.

In conclusion, the chief guest of the event honoured the guest speakers and the winners of the scientific research competition. Marking this day aims to strengthen and enrich medical environments by promoting relevant scientific and applied research within the healthcare sector.
