Kuwait’s Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah conducted an inspection visit on Thursday to the Technical Affairs Sector (Support Services Department), where he was briefed on a number of key strategic and development projects overseen by the sector.
In a statement, the Ministry of Defense said the Minister held a meeting with sector leaders and officials during the visit, where he reviewed ongoing design, implementation and construction works aimed at meeting the operational needs of the Kuwaiti Army across various military camps, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
The Ministry added that Sheikh Abdullah praised the progress achieved in the projects and works he inspected, calling for continued dedication and teamwork to serve the nation, while wishing all personnel further success.
Upon his arrival, the Minister was received by Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defense Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Meshaal Al-Sabah, Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs Brigadier General Khalifa Duaij Al-Sabah, along with a number of senior military commanders and directors of Technical Affairs Department units within the Ministry.
In another development, HH the Crown Prince of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah received Bahraini Interior Minister Sheikh Rashid bin Abdullah Al-Khalifa and the accompanying delegation at Bayan Palace on Sunday on the occasion of their visit to Kuwait.
The meeting was attended by Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Al-Sabah, Minister of the Crown Prince Diwan Sheikh Thamer Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and senior officials.
Separately, Sheikh Fahad and Sheikh Rashid stressed the importance of unifying Gulf security efforts and strengthening regional security partnerships to address current challenges. According to a statement issued by Kuwait’s Interior Ministry, Sheikh Fahad received the Bahraini Minister and his delegation at Kuwait International Airport upon their arrival, in the presence of Interior Ministry Undersecretary Lt General Abdulwahab Al-Wuhaib and several senior security officials.
Sheikh Fahad underscored the deep-rooted historical and fraternal ties between Kuwait and Bahrain, praising the continued coordination and cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the security field. He also reaffirmed Kuwait’s full support for Bahrain and its security measures aimed at preserving stability and security, commending the efficiency and vigilance of Bahraini security agencies in dealing with various security challenges.
The two sides later held talks at Bayan Palace on ways to enhance bilateral security cooperation and discussed several issues of mutual interest, including the latest regional and international developments in support of Gulf security and stability. Both sides stressed their commitment to strengthening security, stability and joint Gulf cooperation in line with the aspirations of the leaderships and peoples of the two countries.
