Saudi Vice Defense Minister Attends Graduation Ceremony at King Faisal Air Academy

On behalf of Saudi Arabia’s Minister of Defense Prince Khalid bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Vice Minister of Defense Prince Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Ayyaf on Monday sponsored the graduation ceremony of the 106th class of cadets from King Faisal Air Academy.

He was received upon his arrival at the academy by Chief of the General Staff General Fayyad bin Hamed Al-Ruwaili, Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force Lieutenant General Prince Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, and Commander of King Faisal Air Academy Major General Pilot Ali bin Mohammed Al-Hammad.

The Academy Commander delivered a speech welcoming the Vice Minister and expressing appreciation for his patronage of the graduation ceremony, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

He noted that the graduates completed their studies and training on the latest global technologies in aviation and technical sciences, adding that among the 172 graduates were four from the Republic of Yemen.

In another development, the Saudi Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan bin Abdulaziz visited Monday the Saudi Military Attaché Office in Washington.

Upon her arrival at the attaché’s headquarters, Princess Reema was received by Assistant Minister of Defense for Executive Affairs Dr. Khaled Al-Biyari, who is on an official visit to Washington, along with the Saudi Military Attaché to Washington and Ottawa Major General Abdullah bin Khalaf Al-Khathami, and the Heads of the Attaché’s Departments.

During the visit, Princess Reema was briefed on the functions, tasks, and departments of the Attaché’s Office, as well as the support it receives from the Saudi leadership to strengthen shared interests between Saudi Arabia and the United States in defense and military cooperation.

At the conclusion of the visit, the Ambassador wrote a message in the guestbook, expressing her appreciation for the efforts of the staff of the Saudi Military Attaché in Washington and their dedicated service to the nation.
