Chairman of the Jordanian Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Yousef Huneiti received on Wednesday Kuwaiti Army Chief of the General Staff Lt. General Khaled Daraj Al Shuraian (photo) and an accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance military and defence cooperation between the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) and the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, as well as mechanisms to further develop their strategic partnership in the service of the mutual interests of both countries, according to a JAF statement.
Huneiti underscored the deep-rooted ties between Jordan and Kuwait, highlighting their importance in promoting regional security and stability.
For his part, Al Shuraian reaffirmed the Kuwaiti Armed Forces’ commitment to expanding military cooperation and exchanging expertise with the JAF.
The meeting was attended by the Kuwaiti Military Attaché in Amman and a number of senior JAF officers.
For his part, Jordan’s Minister of Interior Mazen Farrayeh on Wednesday met with Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al Sabah and the accompanying delegation to discuss ways of enhancing security cooperation and developing joint training initiatives.
During the meeting, attended by Public Security Directorate (PSD) Director Major General Obeidallah Maaytah, Farrayeh highlighted the strong relations between Jordan and Kuwait and commended the high level of security cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
He also stressed the importance of continued coordination and consultation on issues of mutual interest between the Jordanian and Kuwaiti interior ministries and the security agencies of both countries, according to an Interior Ministry statement.
Sheikh Fahad expressed his commitment to expanding security cooperation and enhancing the exchange of expertise, noting that such efforts would open new avenues for collaboration between the two countries.
