Chief of Staff of the Kuwaiti Army, Lieutenant General Khaled Al-Shariaan, visited Sunday Salem Al-Sabah Air Base on Sunday, where he was received by Commander of the Air Force Brigadier General Nasser Al-Shraideh and senior officers.
During the visit, Al-Shariaan was briefed on the base’s key tasks, operational responsibilities, and modern technical capabilities that support various Air Force missions. He toured the base to inspect the readiness of the Bayraktar TB2 aircraft and their advanced systems, which meet the requirements of contemporary air operations.
The tour also included the Eurofighter hangars, where the Chief of Staff received briefings on operational mechanisms and the training programs for pilots and technicians, aimed at enhancing the efficiency and combat readiness of the Air Force.
Lieutenant General Al-Shariaan commended the personnel for their professionalism and high performance, emphasizing his commitment to supporting and developing the Air Force to strengthen its ability to protect Kuwait’s airspace and ensure national security and stability.
In another development, Chief of Staff received an invitation from Chief of Staff of the UAE Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Issa Al-Mazrouei, to attend the Dubai Airshow 2025, scheduled from November 17 to 21 at Al Maktoum International Airport.
According to a press statement issued by the Kuwaiti Army General Staff on Sunday, Lieutenant General Al-Shariaan received the invitation during a meeting with UAE Ambassador to Kuwait Dr. Matar Al-Neyadi, accompanied by UAE Military Attaché Colonel Mohammed Al-Muhairi.
