As part of the Egyptian General Command’s ongoing commitment to field oversight of the combat readiness and operational preparedness of all formations and units of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defense and Military Production, listened to a comprehensive briefing outlining the development and modernization efforts undertaken within the Central Military Zone.

The visit was attended by Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces, along with commanders of the main branches, the Egyptian Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

The Commander-in-Chief subsequently inspected a number of upgraded combat readiness systems, including elements of air defense and medical services, which reflected the high level of operational preparedness of the Central Military Zone.

During the visit, Lieutenant General Ashraf Salem Zaher shared the Iftar (meal eaten by Muslims at sunset to break their fast during Ramadan) with a number of personnel from the Central Military Zone, as well as members of the Border Guard Forces, Paratroopers, and Special Forces. He conveyed the greetings and appreciation of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, President of the Republic and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, to the troops.

The Commander-in-Chief emphasized the importance of sustained training and maintaining high morale to ensure that Armed Forces personnel remain at the highest levels of combat readiness in safeguarding the nation’s security and preserving its sanctities. He underscored the General Command’s commitment to providing all necessary support to the individual soldier, recognizing the fighter as the cornerstone of the Armed Forces.

He also urged Armed Forces personnel to continue pursuing knowledge and broadening their awareness to remain fully informed of ongoing regional developments and their implications for Egyptian national security, particularly amid the rapidly evolving and complex dynamics within the region.

The Commander-in-Chief concluded by expressing his deep appreciation for the dedication and efforts. (Source & Photo © Egyptian Ministry of Defense)
