Bahrain’s National Guard Staff Director Visits Naval Support Unit

Lieutenant-General Shaikh Abdulaziz bin Saud Al Khalifa, Staff Director of Bahrain’s National Guard, visited the Naval Support Unit at the National Guard’s Northern Sector camp.

Major General Hisham Mohammed Al Thawadi, Assistant Chief for Administrative Affairs, and Brigadier Shaikh Salman bin Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Assistant Chief for Operations and Training, were present.

The Chief of Staff was briefed by the unit commander on its tasks and responsibilities, as well as the ongoing efforts to enhance operational readiness and training.

He also inspected the preparations and measures undertaken to fulfil the unit’s assigned duties, Bahrain News Agency (BNA) reported.

He affirmed that, under the directives of General Shaikh Mohammed bin Isa Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard, the National Guard continues to modernise its weapons and equipment systems in line with current and future requirements, in order to effectively carry out its mission of safeguarding the Kingdom’s security and stability.

The Chief of Staff commended the unit’s personnel for their role in addressing various security challenges within their area of responsibility. He also observed a display showcasing the unit’s key naval equipment, weaponry, and systems, expressing his appreciation for the high level of preparedness and combat readiness achieved.
