ASELSAN, Türkiye’s leading defense company, is presenting a broad range of naval capabilities at Euronaval 2026. The newly introduced deployable GÖKDENİZ configuration, a field-proven naval version of KORKUT air defense system, brings the system’s proven close-in defense capabilities into a self-contained, container-based solution.

Designed to operate independently of the host platform, it integrates its own power supply and operator environment and can be rapidly installed on civilian vessels and other critical assets. The system can also be removed and redeployed where protection is needed, offering a flexible solution for safeguarding commercial ships and oil tankers transiting strategically important and challenging waterways.

The containerized GÖKSUR VLS configuration offers a modular Point Defense Missile System (PDMS) solution for both land and naval platforms. Designed as a standalone system with its Fire Control Center (FCC) Container and a Launcher Container, the system integrates its own sensors, launchers and built-in generators for independent power supply, enabling rapid deployment without requiring permanent installation on the host platform.

ASELSAN is also highlighting its autonomous naval capabilities through TUFAN One-Way Attack Unmanned Surface Vehicle (USV) and KILIÇ family of One-Way Attack Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUV), extending autonomous operations across the surface and subsurface domains. The company is also highlighting the newly developed SMASH 30 Remotely Controlled Stabilized Naval Gun System, which represents the next generation of remotely controlled naval weapon systems. Combining AI-assisted target detection, classification and tracking with advanced electro-optical capabilities and ATOM 30 programmable smart ammunition, SMASH 30 is designed to address asymmetric surface threats and emerging aerial threats.

At Euronaval, the company is also presenting MERCAN 100, its submarine optronic mast system for electro-optical reconnaissance and surveillance, alongside AINEO BOX, an AI-powered solution that enhances electro-optical systems with real-time image processing and automated target detection, classification and tracking. Together, these technologies demonstrate ASELSAN’s approach to advancing naval situational awareness through enhanced sensing, intelligent image processing, and adaptable system integration.

“Today’s maritime security environment calls for solutions that can respond to urgent operational needs and evolving threats,” said Ahmet Akyol, President & CEO of ASELSAN.

“With the deployable GÖKDENİZ and GÖKSUR configurations, we are extending an established air defense capability to platforms and environments where flexible, rapidly deployable protection is needed. Our autonomous systems, including TUFAN and KILIÇ, address the growing role of unmanned capabilities in maritime operations, while our naval weapon and optronic technologies continue to benefit from advances in artificial intelligence and electrooptical systems,” he added.

“Building on our experience in rapidly adapting UAV payload technologies to operational requirements, we aim to bring the same agility to the naval domain and deliver mission-ready solutions to naval customers worldwide,” Akyol explained.
