Systematic has announced a comprehensive update to the SitaWare suite, scheduled for release in July, introducing new capabilities across joint targeting and fires, intelligence operations, operational briefing, and naval mine warfare planning.
The updates reflect direct input from coalition partners and operational users, extending SitaWare’s position as the leading command-and-control (C2) solution for NATO and allied forces operating across land, maritime, and air domains.
“This release brings together new capabilities across targeting, intelligence, briefing, and maritime planning in a single coordinated update,” said Hans Jørgen Bohlbro, Vice President, Product Management at Systematic.
“Each of these features has been shaped by direct engagement with coalition partners and operational users, and together they show how SitaWare continues to evolve alongside the way our customers actually operate,” he added.
Joint Targeting and Fires
Systematic has extended Joint Fires and Targeting to forward units, letting mounted and dismounted forces nominate targets directly into the workflow used by operations and targeting staff, removing the need for voice, chat, or manual re-entry between systems. The July update also adds a State Board to SitaWare Headquarters, giving staff a visual, colour-coded overview of every target's status from initiation through completion.
SitaWare Insight: AI and Staff Workflows
A major update to SitaWare Insight expands its artificial intelligence capabilities, including a source-referenced Wingman assistant for natural-language queries across indexed intelligence data, and AI track prediction that forecasts probable routes for tracked symbols. A new custom data framework lets organisations bring their own structured datasets into federated search and automation workflows.
New Briefing Application
Responding to user requests, the release adds a Briefing Application to SitaWare Headquarters, allowing commanders and staff to build and present operational briefings, combining live maps, status tables, images, and text, without leaving the secure C2 environment.
Mine Countermeasures Planning
SitaWare Maritime gains an advanced Mine Countermeasures (MCM) Planning capability, enabling mine warfare officers to define MCM areas and channels, model available assets, and generate optimised clearance plans. The system integrates with standard NATO APP-11 messaging and automatically flags conflicts with existing waterspace management areas.
Taken together, the July update strengthens the SitaWare suite’s capability across intelligence, targeting, planning, and naval operations in a single coordinated release, reflecting Systematic’s ongoing engagement with coalition partners and operational users.
