ASELSAN marked a strong presence at the Defence Services Asia (DSA) 2026 Exhibition with a broad range of products and by signing a strategic agreement, reinforcing local partnerships, long-term presence, and its strategic role in Malaysia and the broader Southeast Asian defense ecosystem.
ASELSAN, Türkiye’s leading defense company, signed a Teaming Agreement with BOUSTEAD, a leading Malaysian defense and industrial conglomerate at DSA 2026, covering the Satellite Communication Solutions, establishing a formal framework for the joint pursuit of this strategic program.
The Teaming Agreement reflects a joint intent to explore the development of SATCOM capabilities across ground and space segments, including Malaysia’s potential GEO satellite. The partnership also supports localization through joint development, as well as targeted technical workshops and training for key stakeholders, including the Malaysian Armed Forces.
Southeast Asia remains a core strategic region for ASELSAN, where ongoing defense modernization efforts and integrated architectures align closely with the company’s system-of-systems expertise, long-term cooperation approach, and partnership-ready solutions.
Building on its strategic vision in the region, ASELSAN is showcasing at DSA 2026 a broad, integrated portfolio reflecting its end-to-end capabilities across air defense, naval systems, avionics and UAV payloads, guided munitions, land systems, security, and communications.
Key highlights include Steel Dome multi-layered air defense concept; air defense and land vehicle payloads including KORKUT Anti-Drone System and EJDERHA Electromagnetic C-UAV System; avionics systems and UAV payloads such as ASELFLIR 500 Electro-Optical Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Targeting System, TOLUN Guided Munition, ANTIDOT Electronic Warfare Pod, and KARAT Infrared Search and Track System; as well as communication systems including Satellite Communication Solutions and Tactical Data Link Solutions.
“New partnerships we have established at DSA 2026 stand as a strong reflection of the confidence in ASELSAN’s advanced technologies and reflect our mutual dedication to enhancing Malaysia’s defense capabilities,” said Ahmet Akyol, President & CEO of ASELSAN.
