Investments in airport development projects are stimulating the projected growth of the Saudi Construction Industry. In a recent report published by Timetric, titled “Construction in Saudi Arabia - Key Trends and Opportunities to 2020”, the report highlights the decision of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to develop and modernize its airport sector will increase the growth in its construction industry.

The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) - Saudi Arabia has announced plans to invest in the development of airport infrastructure projects to develop and expand the tourism sector and cater the fastest growing local and international air traffic in the country's airports, which will grow over 100m annually year by 2020.

The construction industry will immensely benefit from the GACA's plan to develop and expand 27 international, regional and domestic airports under the Vision 2020 program to increase their passenger handling efficiency and meeting its standards. Saudi Airports Development Forum (SADF), to be held in Jeddah in November 2016 is aimed to gather the local and international airport fraternity members those are involved in investment, finance, design & consulting, construction, airport infrastructure, airport management, terminal development, ATC / ATM, ground handling, safety & security, operations, latest technologies and services which will support the growth of the Saudi Arabian airports.
