25 German Co.’s to Participate at Airport Show 2012

The German Pavilion at the upcoming Airport Show 2012 in Dubai will be 420 sq m, bigger than the previous 3 editions held in 2009, 2010 and 2011, said the event organizers.
The show will be held from 22 to 24 May 2012 at Dubai International Exhibition and Conference Centre.
A record number of 25 German companies will share the pavilion, said Mohamad Bader-Eddin, Show Director, Reed Exhibitions Middle East.
“The German companies enjoy good reputation in the Middle East region due to their introduction of innovative products and new technologies, thereby providing the airports technical excellence, reliability and economic efficiency,” he added.
The German companies participating in the show include manufacturers and suppliers of airport lights for runways, taxiways, robot systems for baggage handling, engineering and supply of airport equipment, manufacturer of specialist vehicles for the aviation industry, removal of rubber and markings, passenger movement vehicles, IT supply (readers, scanners), baggage handling equipment and systems, ground support equipment, conveying equipment, MRO supply, ground support equipment and tooling, Air Traffic Control and aircraft refuellers.
Dieter A Heinz, President of German Airport Technology and Equipment (GATE), the German umbrella association for quality airport suppliers and one of the supporters of Airport Show 2012, said the aviation sector of the UAE offers tremendous growth opportunities for the global aviation industry at a time when it was grappling with uncertainties and challenges.
Held under the patronage of Sheikh Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chairman & Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, the Airport Show is also supported by leading international industry associations and local government authorities.
