Chairman of the Jordanian Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Majdi Harasis inaugurated last week the new headquarters building of the Royal Military Police, as part of efforts to modernise infrastructure and enhance operational readiness across military units.
Accompanied by senior Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) officers, Harasis listened to a briefing by the Commander of the Royal Military Police on the unit’s duties, work mechanisms and the construction phases of the new facility, according to a JAF statement.
Harasis underscored the vital role of the Royal Military Police in maintaining military discipline and supporting JAF formations, stressing the need for continued upgrades to equipment and technical capabilities to ensure efficiency, Petra news agency reported.
During a tour of the new facility, which was built to high specifications by the Arab Construction and Contracting Company under the supervision of the Military Housing and Works Directorate, Harasis also launched an electronic system for recording traffic violations and drawing accident diagrams.
The digital system is part of the JAF’s ongoing efforts to automate work processes, streamline procedures and integrate modern technology into military operations.
Furthermore, Chairman of the Jordanian Joint Chiefs of Staff also received Commander of the Qatari Emiri Land Forces Major General Jassim Attiyah and an accompanying delegation at General Headquarters.
The meeting, attended by senior Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) officers and the Qatari Military Attaché, focused on strengthening military cooperation and joint coordination to serve the mutual interests of both brotherly Armed Forces, according to a JAF statement.
In another development, the Chairman of the Jordanian Joint Chiefs of Staff Major General Majdi Mohammad Harasis received on Thursday Czech Ambassador to Jordan Andrea Koutcherova at his office at the General Command.
During the meeting, Harasis and Koutcherova discussed cooperation and coordination between the Armed Forces of the two friendly countries and ways to enhance them in various military and defense fields, according to a Jordan Armed Forces -Arab Army (JAF) statement.
Koutcherova expressed her appreciation for the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army’s role in supporting security and stability in the region, praising the strong relations between Jordan and the Czech Republic.
She also affirmed her country’s keenness to continue strengthening cooperation and coordination with the Jordanian Armed Forces in various fields.
