Homeland security ranks high among the Kingdom of Jordan’s developmental priorities. The Kingdom has an advanced public safety and security incident management system in place as part of a nationwide homeland security initiative aimed at effectively preventing and responding to terrorism and other local and regional threats. This system can provide seamless response to police, fire and emergency incidents for the nearly 2 million residents of the capital city of Amman.

Despite its robust homeland security infrastructure, Jordan recognizes the need to be constantly updated on the various threats to its citizens as well as the latest and best technologies, tools and practices to address them.

As part of its efforts to further expand its security expertise, Jordan has decided to send representatives of its Armed Forces, Civil Defence and Public Security Directorate to the 2012 International Security and National Resilience (ISNR) Exhibition and Conference currently taking place in Abu Dhabi.

The delegation will join defence and security agencies from around the region in the 5th edition of the Middle East’s definitive homeland security event to explore and discuss key strategies, policies and solutions.

The Jordanian delegates will join major organizations such as Abu Dhabi’s Critical National Infrastructure Authority, the UAE Ministry of Interior, the UAE Civil Defence and the UAE Telecommunications Regulatory Authority in the ISNR 2012 Conference.

The Conference will gather heads of state, security decision-makers and professionals and academicians from around the world to talk about the best approaches to homeland security.

The 5th edition of ISNR Abu Dhabi is being held from 19-21 March 2012 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre with the full support of the UAE Ministry of Interior.
