The UAE celebrated the “Emirati Women’s Day” on Monday, 28th August 2023, which represents an annual national occasion to express pride in the outstanding achievements of Emirati woman and her pivotal role and distinguished contribution to the country’s renaissance and sustainable development.
Hala Al Zargani, Manager of Center for Innovation and Security Solutions (CISS) Lockheed Martin, issued the following statement on this occasion:
“The UAE’s strategy and vision has empowered Emirati women - the mothers, daughters and sisters of this great nation - across all walks of business and society. They are a vital pillar upholding the economy, a role model to others and a catalyst for the country’s sustainable development.
Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), the Mother of the Nation, has ensured every Emirati women’s voice is heard. The same is true at Lockheed Martin, where diversity and inclusion are the foundation of our high-performance culture.
The theme for Emirati Women’s Day’s this year, “We Collaborate for Tomorrow”, highlights the role of Emirati women in the field of sustainability and green technology. They will play a vital role in turbocharging our journey towards a sustainable future as the UAE hosts COP28 and the first Global Stocktake to accelerate climate action and mobilization.”
