PAE has secured a maritime surveillance contract to help the government of Tunisia in securing its territorial waters through an integrated common operating picture.
The contract is part of the U.S. Navy Regional Maritime Awareness Capability (RMAC) program which provides host nations with increased Maritime Domain Awareness through improved integration of interagency and international partners.
The program will include the delivery of key command, control, communications, and surveillance (C3/S) capabilities to the Tunisian Navy.
“PAE has over 60 years of supporting the execution of complex and critical missions by providing technical services and national security solutions while exceeding the end user requirements for performance and sustainability,” said Kenneth Myers, President of PAE’s National Security Solutions business unit.
“PAE will survey, design, install, and test the capability as well as provide the training and transition to the host nation as part of the contract. This program will assist a key U.S. ally in securing its border and maintaining peace and stability in the region,” he added.
The Tunisia project allows for multiple maritime sensors to be integrated into a common operating picture for the Tunisian Navy. This new capability will fully integrate and correlate multiple data source acquisition and display to provide increased maritime domain awareness and allow for better tracking of small and large vessels. With this solution, the Tunisian Navy will be able to more effectively track and respond to immediate maritime threats or incidents with a high level of confidence and accuracy.
“PAE has been a leader in supporting end users in challenging operational environments, providing an approach based on genuine partnerships with local companies and sustainable solutions,” said Andrei Gugiu, Director at PAE National Security Solutions.
“The PAE system design approach focuses on end user requirements and employs a product-agnostic methodology that is immediately sustainable by the host nation,” he continued.
