Major General Hamid Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies of Oman received in his office at Bait Al Falaj Camp Sunday a delegation from King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz College for Command and Staff of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s National Guard.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a range of matters of common interest, notably in academic fields.
The meeting was attended by several senior officers from the Academy of Strategic and Defense Studies, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.
Meanwhile, the visiting delegation also visited the Joint Command and Staff College (CSC) at the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies.
Upon the delegation’s arrival at the College, they were received by Brigadier Saif Hamad Al Yousefi, Commandant of the Joint Command and Staff College (CSC).
During the visit, the delegation watched a presentation on the college and its curricula, as well as its training and educational programmes. Moreover, the delegation toured the College’s facilities and departments.
Furthermore, the delegation visited the National Defence College (NDC) at the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies in Bait Al Falaj Camp.
Upon their arrival at the NDC, they were greeted by Brigadier Mansoor Ali Al Amri, Acting Commandant of the NDC.
Members of the visiting delegation were briefed on the college’s strategic curricula. They also toured the NDC’s departments and various facilities.
In another development, Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF) received in his office at Al Murtafa’a Camp Saturday General Michael E. Kurilla, Commander of the United States (US) Central Command and his accompanying delegation, currently visiting the Sultanate of Oman.
The two sides exchanged views and discussed several military topics of mutual interest.
The meeting was attended by Air Commodore Nasser Said Al Sa’adi, Assistant Chief of Staff for Training and Joint Drills of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), Brigadier Badr Nassir Al Kharousi, Director General of the Joint Military Intelligence and Preventive Security at COSAF and a number of Senior COSAF Officers.
