Oman’s Navy Chief Receives Combined Task Force Commander

Rear Admiral Saif Nasser al-Rahbi, Commander of Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) received in his office last week Commodore Abdul Munib, Commander of the Combined Task Force (CTF 151) and his accompanying delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides reviewed several matters of common concern related to naval fields. They also reviewed means of enhancing the joint cooperation, Oman News Agency (ONA) reported.

The guest also toured the Maritime Security Center (MSC). He was briefed on the tasks and roles of the center in managing and leading operations of the maritime security in terms of maritime hazards, mainly search and rescue operations and protecting the marine environment from various risks.

The guest expressed his delight to view the advanced development reached by the Sultanate in all fields related to marine security.

Earlier, the Commander of the Royal Navy of Oman (RNO) also received at the Maritime Security Center (MSC) Ignazio Cassis, Vice President of the Federal Council and Head of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA).

During the meeting, the two sides discussed views on several matters of joint interests between the two friendly countries.

The meeting was attended by RNO senior officers, the Swiss Ambassador to the Sultanate and the delegation accompanying the guest.

The Swiss guest, accompanied by the RNO Commander, toured the MSC's facilities. He was briefed on the tasks and roles of the center in managing and leading operations of maritime security in terms of maritime hazards, mainly search and rescue operations and protecting marine environment from various risks.
