Chief of Kuwait’s National Guard Sheikh Mubarak Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on Tuesday attended the legal oath ceremony of a number of Officers graduating from Ahmed bin Mohammed Military College in Qatar (Class 21), marking their official entry into military service with the National Guard.

In a press statement, the National Guard said Sheikh Mubarak congratulated the officers on their graduation and their accession to the force, expressing confidence in their ability to begin their duties and contribute to its continued success, drawing on their academic training, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.

He stressed that the Officers’ achievement of advanced ranks reflects their excellence and distinction, reaffirming that the National Guard spares no effort in developing its personnel academically through scholarships and training at leading military institutions in brotherly and friendly countries.

The ceremony was attended by National Guard Undersecretary Lieutenant General Staff Hamad Al-Barjas and a number of Senior Commanders.

Meanwhile, Kuwait’s Cabinet on Tuesday called on citizens and residents to strictly adhere to directives issued by the Ministries of Defense and Interior, the National Guard and the Kuwait Fire Force, urging the public to refrain from circulating images or videos of targeted sites and to avoid spreading rumors. The call came during the Cabinet’s weekly meeting, chaired by His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abdullah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah.

Following the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Shareeda Al-Maousherji said the Cabinet was briefed at the outset on a written message received by His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah from King Charles III. The message affirmed the United Kingdom’s support for Kuwait in light of ongoing developments, and underscored its commitment to Kuwait’s security, safety and sovereignty.

The Cabinet was also informed of a telephone call received by His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah from UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer. During the call, the Crown Prince conveyed the Amir’s appreciation for the supportive message, noting that it reflects the depth of longstanding bilateral relations.

For his part, the British Prime Minister affirmed full solidarity with Kuwait. Discussions also addressed arrangements for the deployment of British air defense systems in Kuwait, as well as the importance of safeguarding freedom of navigation, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz.

In addition, the Cabinet listened to a briefing by Minister of Defense Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah on the latest regional developments and the ongoing military situation in light of Iranian attacks on Kuwait. He also outlined the outcomes of a recent field inspection tour of Kuwaiti Armed Forces units, highlighting their readiness and combat preparedness, and commending personnel for their vigilance and dedication.
