Kuwait’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef Saud Al-Sabah praised the Kuwait National Guard (KNG) for its prominent and unwavering role in supporting the Ministry of Interior’s efforts to safeguard national security.
During an inspection tour of the KNG taskforce, Sheikh Fahad commended the leadership and personnel of the National Guard for their sense of duty, professionalism and dedication in backing the country’s security apparatus.
He expressed his appreciation to all KNG members for their close cooperation with security agencies, underscoring their vital contribution to protecting the homeland and preserving public safety, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
In another development, Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Kuwaiti Army Major General (Pilot) Sheikh Sabah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah met with Pakistan’s Defense Attaché to Kuwait Brigadier General Mohsin Javed to discuss military cooperation and areas of mutual interest, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.
During the meeting, both sides emphasized the importance of strengthening joint coordination and enhancing the exchange of military and technical expertise -particularly in the fields of cybersecurity and joint training - as part of ongoing efforts to bolster bilateral defense ties.
The meeting was attended by Assistant Chief of Staff for Administration and Manpower Major General Firas Al-Shahin, Acting Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations and Plans Brigadier General Raed Al-Sukran, along with other senior military officials. The discussions reflect Kuwait’s continued commitment to fostering strong defense relations with friendly nations and promoting regional and international security cooperation.
