Commander of the Royal Saudi Air Force Lieutenant General Prince Turki bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz oversaw Wednesday the progress of the “Spears of Victory 2026” exercise at the Air Warfare Center in the Eastern Sector of the Kingdom, with the participation of forces from several nations.
During an inspection tour, he received briefings on the exercise phases, operational procedures, and the level of readiness and integration among the participating forces. He also visited the advanced air base in Al-Hofuf, where he reviewed facilities and the units taking part in the exercise, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.
He affirmed that “Spears of Victory 2026” is among the region’s most prominent air exercises, reflecting the Kingdom’s leadership in building military partnerships and alliances as well as its active role in supporting regional and international security and stability.
He further noted that the Kingdom’s annual hosting of the exercise demonstrates the advanced organizational and operational capabilities of its Armed Forces, qualifying them to manage major military drills according to the highest professional standards.
He concluded by emphasizing that the exercise contributes to strengthening deterrence concepts, enhancing joint readiness to confront regional and international threats through an integrated approach and embodying the Kingdom’s continued commitment to developing its defense capabilities and supporting security and stability.
The “Spears of Victory 2026” military exercise started January 18th at the Air Warfare Center in Saudi Arabia, according to a statement from the Saudi Ministry of Defense.
Led by the Royal Saudi Air Force, the exercise will run until February 5th, featuring wide regional and international participation and highlighting ongoing efforts to strengthen military cooperation and joint operational integration.
The exercise will integrate branches of Saudi Arabia’s Armed Forces, the Ministry of the National Guard, the Presidency of State Security and the Unified Military Command of the Gulf Cooperation Council, alongside military forces from regional and international countries, the statement added.
