Within the framework of military and educational cooperation between the Republic of Iraq and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, two students from the Iraqi Naval College, studying at the Pakistan Naval Academy, won the Gold Medal of the Chief of the Naval Staff of Pakistan (CNS Gold Medal) after successfully completing a two-year academic training phase.

This honor came as a result of their academic excellence and leading performance among students for the fourth consecutive time, which led to the inclusion of their names and that of the Republic of Iraq on the Academy’s honor board, with follow-up and support from the Iraqi Military Attaché in Islamabad.

The two students are expected to move on to the practical training phase (Midshipman) aboard Pakistani naval vessels for five months to complete graduation requirements, the Iraqi Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

This achievement reflects the advanced level of students of the Iraqi Ministry of Defense and confirms the success of scholarship programs and military cooperation with friendly countries.

Meanwhile, in implementation of the directives of the Commander of the Iraqi Naval Forces, Mazen Abdulwahid Kubayan, and in accordance with the media plan of the Directorate of Media and Morale Guidance, the Commander of the Naval Forces Command Protection Regiment honored a number of fighters who distinguished themselves in the performance of their duties.

This honoring came in appreciation of the high level of military discipline and dedication showed by the fighters in carrying out their assigned tasks with professionalism and commitment.

For his part, the Regiment Commander expressed his thanks and appreciation to those honored, wishing them continued success in serving the military institution and the homeland
